Crabapple blossoms?

by Caroline Brown

Taken in Providence on Dec. 28th, this photo of a blooming crabapple tree speaks volumes about the unseasonably warm fall and winter that we’ve had here in New England thus far. I think we’re back “on track” though–it’s been very cold the last couple of days and we even had snow flurries yesterday. Best wishes for a happy 2007, everyone!

  1. Yikes…Looks more like April than December!

All the best to you in 2007!

  2. Lovely picture. Slightly worrying though.

  3. Michelle & caractacus, indeed it is scary…. never thought I’d wish for colder weather. I just made a new post about this very topic.

  4. I’ve been finding cherry blossoms on urban trees, and sprouting spring flower bulbs – it’s just the craziest thing ever!!!!
