Yes, you did! America, we’re proud of you.
This changes everything — but this time for the good. If we had to endure the Bush years to earn this triumph, so be it.
Great quote from Bruce. “And all this darkness past.” We hope and believe so. Now America has the opportunity to join the family of nations as an equal, not a savior or a tyrant but an equal seeking to work with others throughout the world.
We now will have a leader and face of America that most people will be attracted to. A person who is at once like the rest of us as well as much more capable than almost all of us.
Barack Obama is a man for the ages and has the opportunity to help America in a fashion and to a degree not experienced since Lincoln.
We hope and pray that he is up to the task defined by the expectations he has set for himself. Last night he didn’t flinch or hedge his bets. My money is in this man to be a spectacular success. He will be a joy to watch as he assumes his new office with the grace we have come to expect.
Way to go Barack! Yes we can! And yes we must!!
