Happy Earth Day, Mother Earth
Tuesday, April 22, 2008 by Caroline

Oh, mother earth,
With your fields of green
Once more laid down by the hungry hand
How long can you give and not receive
And feed this world ruled by greed
Oh, ball of fire
In the summer sky
Your healing light, your parade of days
Are they betrayed by the men of power
Who hold this world in their changing hands
Oh, freedom land
Can you let this go
Down to the streets where the numbers grow
Respect mother earth and her giving ways
Or trade away our children’s days

You and Neil and the big blue marble have truly inspired me today. It is raining here on Earth Day, something we so desperately need down here. I am thankful for that.
No matter how many times I see pictures of the Earth I still feel in awe of it. There are so many intricacies that happen here, we really need to work to help keep it all in balance.
Very touching C. We celebrated Earth Day with another Earth Hour last night. In addition to all the other day to day things we do: recycling, conserving in any way we can, thinking before we buy or use….it all adds up, doesn’t it?
Happy Earth Day (a little late!) G
This is really very good. The picture is so attracting.
