Some more gratuitous "flower porn" for you to enjoy while I'm at the 2006 Northeast Master Gardeners Conference. (And besides, I got a lot of hits when I used the word "porn" in my blog. One of my recent link-throughs was for the search term "friendly farmer porn.")
Aaaaanyway, this is what it looks like underneath our rhododendron bushes now. A couple of days of hard rain took a toll on the blossoms.
This is the first year that we've had these in our garden. I planted them in the fall but can't for the life of me remember what kind of iris they are. But, they're beautiful…my favorite color of blue…and Curt described them best when he said they looked like tropical fish.
